BIO / a self-described adventurer + designer most recently from san francisco, jay is a designer currently living in gothenburg, sweden while studying for his mfa in design at the school of design and crafts (hdk).
a graduate of the maryland institute college of art (bfa 2007), jay did work for several studios in baltimore/new york before migrating to the urban paradise of northern california in 2008 to work at albertson design. there he worked on projects for clients such as ted conferences, chez panisse restaurant + café, and slow food nation 2008.
previously, a semester abroad at japan's osaka university of arts and two trips to sweden had left him seriously ill with an incurable travel bug. among other things, jay is a one-time finalist in the maryland state 110m high hurdles, two-time employee of apple, inc., avid (english + american) football fan, ex-cellist, guitar thrasher, original mini cooper fan, and cat lover.
