el sistema usa is an america program developed by and modeled after dr. josé abreu’s el sistema music program in venezuela. the project was the recipient of the ted prize in 2009, and i worked on it as part of the the team at albertson design in san francisco.

initially, the website needed to attract interest from applicants to the program, as well as sponsors and other interested parties. much time was spent on gathering the content and creating a logical presentation of information on the site. the final design plays heavily off of a bright and engaging color palette mixed with strong gradients and “revolution” styled imagery.
