the final touch was adding holes that caused light to 'sparkle' when lit via an LED bulb

it is fair to say that the majority of my work consists of manipulating pixels on screen. at times, i wish that i could uproot myself from my chair and create something real and tangible. in this project i literally got down and dirty with my hands while taking on my first attempt at product design and ceramics.

by creating an unusual situation; a conversation by way of a ‘light rock’, i wanted to create an intimate setting by which ideas could flow freely. following an excursion into the archipelago just off the west coast of sweden, i returned to the studio with rocks to learn how to slip cast and this was my ultimate result.
