slow food nation ‘08

- slow food nation
- exhibition graphics
- completed while at albertson design
- posters, invitations, books, etc. – this was a huge project
in the summer of 2008 over 85,000 people came together in san francisco to celebrate the slow food movement. an exhibition of locally grown and produced foods from all across america, it drew attendees from across the united states and the world – from bay area dairy farmers to african coffee bean growers.
this project was unique in the amount of interaction that i had as part of the design team with the folks (clients) at slow food nation, working closely with them on a daily basis to output the staggering amount of materials required to support an event of this size. some of the pieces that i helped create included exhibition banners and graphics, printed materials, maps, signage, books, invitations, and posters.
i worked on this project while at albertson design, and in 2009 we were featured in communication arts’ 50th design annual for the ‘public service series’, something that i’m quite proud of.
