the ted fellows program introduces young innovators to the broader ted community in which they will become an integral group of thinkers, makers, and doers.

this booklet introduced the 2009 fellows to all attendees of the conference in long beach + palm springs, california. while working on this project it was inspiring to read through the content and realize that the work these people were doing was impacting the world in a positive way. so, when it came down to making extra tweaks and ironing out all the small copy changes at the end of the day, knowing that the book served a good purpose took some of the sting out of staying until 9 or 10 to make that happen. that’s a subtle difference, but as a designer it was one that made all the difference in the end.
